Ocean Flyer Welcomes Colin Keel, Transport and Infrastructure Specialist and Former Queenstown Airport CEO, to Governance Board

Ocean Flyer's CEO, Shah Aslam, proudly announces the appointment of Colin Keel, an international transport and infrastructure specialist, to the governance board of SO Capital and Ocean Flyer. Aslam expressed enthusiasm about Colin's addition, citing his extensive experience and global network as valuable assets to the team.

 

"Colin's background and profound knowledge across various transport modes, from aviation to rail, will significantly enrich Ocean Flyer," said Aslam.

Given the importance of regional connectivity for communities in New Zealand, Aslam remarked, "Colin understands the inherent value of regional connectivity, which drives productivity and ultimately leads to a broad range of national and local benefits."

 

In reference to the future of sustainable transport in New Zealand, Aslam expressed confidence, stating, "We are embarking on a transformative journey, and individuals like Colin will play a pivotal role in facilitating this transition."

Over a long career, Colin has served as an executive, corporate lawyer, business advisor and company director across New Zealand, Australia, the US, and the UK. His expertise encompasses aviation, rail, infrastructure, energy, and tourism.

 

Most recently Colin was CEO of Queenstown Airport Corporation and has held senior executive positions at Aurizon, Qantas Airways and American Airlines.  He is currently engaged in various governance and advisory roles in New Zealand and Australia.

 

A Chartered Member of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, Colin holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of the Harvard Leadership Programme.
